The Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation has sanctioned Pep Guardiola 15,000 euros by the statements in which he said the referee Clos Gomez lying on the arbitration record.
Fruit of the statements by the coach of FC Barcelona, the Competition Committee opened a disciplinary inquiry on Tuesday that has been resolved with this sanction of 15,000 euros.
In the press conference on March 13, Josep Guardiola accused the referee and the assistant Clos Gómez Galindo Gallego, who drove in the game against Almeria, lying in the drafting of the arbitration record, as not picked the exact words the coach of Barça went to referee.
“Not that I’m too proud of what I did. I can’t understand the expulsion, but if we decide to contest it was because Mr. Clos and Mr. Gallego lie. I am wrong and I go into the crowd, but they lie and they know it” said at the press conference. Television pictures showed that the phrase attributed to Guardiola as the reason for the expulsion did not coincide with reality.
The resolution is subject to appeal before the Appellate Committee of the RFEF within 10 days.
